Well, not really, but FoxNews.com reports that Venezuelan dictator (I mean President) Hugo Chavez is seeking to change the nation’s constitution to come closer to his dream of a socialist Venezuela. There’s only one thing standing in the way of his socialist pipe dream, presidential term limits. However, when you are a dictator bent on being the next Fidel Castro and you want to get your way like a spoiled child, nothing will get in your way, even term limits, especially when your legislature is controlled by your allies.

To be sure, Chavez denies that he wants lifetime presidential powers, saying, “We know it isn’t like that. It’s power of the people,” and “I doubt there is any country on this planet with a democracy more alive than the one we enjoy in Venezuela today.”  Yeah right, come on Hugo, if it is the power of the people, why jail the people who oppose you?  What are you afraid of Hugo, a little competition?  Hey Hugo, there are several countries with more lively democracies than your tin horn dictatorship, one of them is the United States.  Oh, that’s right, you think President Bush is the devil, don’t you Hugo?  Well you were correct about the devil being in the U.N. when you made that speech, but it wasn’t Bush, it was you.  Remind me to get a hold of Charlie Daniels and have him phone Johnny so he can come down to Caracas and give you some fiddle lessons.

All humor aside now (but I do hope you enjoyed it, especially you Hugo), Chavez must be stopped.  To all Venezuelans who oppose Chavez, stand up and fight, make your case to America, and we will stand by you.  To those that support him, go to Cuba if you want socialism.  All those Hollywood elites and other liberals cuddling up to Chavez, if you like him so much, then stay there and don’t come back, as I don’t want pieces of garbage like you in my country if you are going to praise an enemy of America, while trashing your own country.  The good people of Venezuela do not need you befriending the man who has stripped them of their freedom.  To all socialists and communists either in power in Latin America or trying to seize power, remember what Ronald Reagan did to you all twenty years ago, as we can always repeat history and take you down.  It is hoped that the people of Venezuela will revolt and destroy this pathetic excuse for a leader before we do.  Remember what Protest Warrior says, “Communisms only killed 100 million people, let’s give it another chance.”
