Well, the
auction of the infamous whiny letter by Senate Majority Leader Harry
Reid has ended and many kids will benefit because of his liberal
lunacy. Rush Limbaugh auctioned the letter off on Ebay with the
proceeds to go to the Marine Corps Law Enforcement Foundation. The
Foundation will receive 4.2 million dollars to provide scholarships to
the children of Marines and federal law enforcement officers killed in
the line of duty.
The winning bid was $2.1 million placed by Betty Casey of the Eugene
B. Casey Foundation. Casey has been a long-time listener of Limbaugh’s
program. As promised, Rush will match the winning bid in a donation to
the Foundation. The letter in question was sent earlier this month to
the CEO of Clear Channel, which airs Rush’s program demanding that Rush
be reprimanded for his “phony soldiers” remark, in which he blasted
those who faked their service records to claim they were in Iraq and
opposed to the war. Senate Democrats wasted taxpayer money on this
witch hunt over nothing and Limbaugh turned it into something positive.

In addition to the letter itself, Betty Casey will receive the
Halliburton case the letter was secured in, a letter of thanks from
Rush, and a picture of him announcing the auction. I encourage all
Democrats who signed this letter to take Rush’s challenge and donate to
the Foundation and truly show your support for our troops. Rush, the
Conservative Files thanks you for all that you do for conservatism and
for this charity auction to benefit the children of some of our
nation’s heroes.
